The EMPOWER+ project – Empowering Rural Youth, officially launched with a two-day Kick-off Meeting held on 26–27 January 2026 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, hosted by Asociația Gal Napoca Porolissum.

Partners from Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa came together to align on the project vision, coordination framework, and implementation approach, strengthening cooperation across the consortium.

This first transnational meeting laid the groundwork for the upcoming activities aimed at enhancing rural youth participation, democratic engagement, and EU–Africa collaboration.
